New Patients at Roots Chiropractic

We look forward to welcoming you to Roots Chiropractic! After scheduling your first appointment, you will receive an email with our electronic intake paperwork. We ask that you complete this paperwork before your appointment so our doctors can thoroughly review your case.

We may perform X-ray imaging and/or INSiGHT scans of your spine, so we recommend wearing comfortable/athletic clothing and minimal jewelry or being willing to remove jewelry for any necessary imaging.

Your First Visit

During your first visit, you’ll sit down with your chiropractor to review your health history, current concerns, and goals. Next, we’ll conduct various assessments, which may include range of motion testing, orthopedic and neurological evaluations, any necessary X-rays, and INSiGHT scans to assess your neuro-spinal system. After the examination portion of your first visit, you will also receive your first adjustment!

Your Second Visit

When you return for your second visit, your chiropractor will review the results of your examination, including INSiGHT scans and X-rays, and how our care can help you. We will discuss your care plan moving forward to help you reach your goals. Each care plan is tailored to your individual needs based on your case history, examination, INSiGHT scans, X-rays, and goals. We’ll answer all your questions, and if you’re ready to continue with care, you’ll receive your second adjustment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does your office take X-rays? Why?

We do offer in-house digital X-rays and may recommend them depending on your case history and examination. X-rays help our doctors understand the structure and alignment of your spine and spinal joints. This can reveal misalignments, degenerative changes, or other issues that could be contributing to your symptoms. We do not X-ray children or pregnant women.

Will I be adjusted during my first visit?

Yes! Patients may receive adjustments at their first visit upon completion of the examination. However, your doctor may decide that more testing or a referral to another provider is necessary prior to receiving an adjustment.

Do you accept insurance?

We do not accept insurance. Inviting third-party payers into your care gives them a say in how we should care for you. We don’t believe insurance companies have the education to make decisions about what’s best for your care in our office.

Staying out of network allows us to use our education and clinical experience, combined with your goals, to provide individualized care. We do accept HSA and FSA cards and are happy to provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement upon request.

Do you accept Medicare?

We do not bill Medicare and are unable to accept patients with Medicare.
